This is an xp os. When I turn on the PC it runs, but when the windows black load screen runs, the computer reboots after a few seconds. I have tried to do safe mode and last known config but when it gets to the windows load screen it acts like windows with load then it reboots... Thanks

What happened prior to this, and when was the last time your computer worked?

Yea, this is probably a pointless thread... I haven't messed with it for a long time. Went to turn it on one day to get some music off it and that was the end of it. I want to fix it but i'm unsure if it is the hard drive or cpu.

Do you have a windows installation CD?

First download one of these: LiveCD and see if your computer is boot able and that your hardware works.
