Hi everyone,

This is my first post to a forum. I want to thank all of you in advance.

I have had problems with my computer ever since I clicked on a link in my email address. I know I should not have done that and frankly I'm very upset with myself that I did it in the first place. Ok, enough of that. Here is the problem...

My problem started with a massive overload of popups. I ran several cleaners and malware removal tools. That was able to get rid of some of my problems. However, I still have an issue with google redirects and oddly over time the pop ups have stopped. Some things that also changed on my computer are my start bar at the bottom of the screen is grey instead of blue. I cannot access safe mode anymore and I cannot find a system restore point anytime before that fateful day of clicking the email link. At one point I looked at my registry to find boot up information for safe mode and there was nothing in the folder. I have windows xp with service pack 3.

Thank you again in advance for help

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.
