I have a new one for me. I just finished clearing malware from a Dell Dimension 8300 and everything seems to be working fine. However, as it waited to be picked up, I noticed it was left on continuously. I consciously turned it off and when I found it on agian I realized it was turning itself on. I checked the power setting but didn't notice anything unusual. The computer is not connected to the internet, so I don't think it would be a wake-on-LAN issue. It seems to take quite a few hours to turn back on. I usually notice it the next morning, but on some occaions I haven't noticed it until the next afternoon. Ig anyone has seen this I sure wuld appreciate your help. thanks.

I suspect the computer is not entirely free of malware.

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.
