Good morning everyone,

I recently got a virus I think and now my links in google and in yahoo searches are being directed elsewhere. I use avast antivirus as my main security software. When I got the virus it was initially a pop-up that said I had a virus and started to appear to be running a scan where it said I had a bunch of malicious files. It also changed the way I connected to the internet where it would always go to the same website regardless of what I put in. I downloaded Malwarebytes but it wouldn't start initially. I read about changing the name of the program and then was able to get malwarebytes to run. It detected quite a few viruses.

I was able to get my connection figured out, but I still get that pop-up occasionally that says I am infected and it is scanning my computer. And links that I click on in searches are redirected about 90% of the time.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
