Hello -

subject computer is running XP SP3.

For about a month have been having problems with CPU time being utilized 100% at times (according to Process Lasso), slow opening of folders and files.

On the internet side some sites which are active and I could read previously are not available, sometimes I'm told an address cannot be found - try again - and when I try again they come up right away. Other times unasked for sites are opened (usually sale sites of some sort) or else site loading is very slow "waiting for Google-Analytics etc.".

I was running Avast, AVG and Prevx. After reading some posts on BleepingComputer I removed AVAST and Prevx and the hangups due to CPU usage have decreased - but no change on the internet side.

Can someone guide me on using ComboFix etc?

Thank you.
