I'm running XP pro SP3.

Whenever I start Tweetdeck or Sims 3 I get the following error:

EADMLegacy CLI.exe

Bad image. Application or DLL C:\windows\system32\dbghelp.dll is not a valid windows image

The thing is, Tweetdeck will then start and work alright, whereas Sims 3 launches the start panel, but crashes when you try to start the game after showing the same error again.

I have only just installed Sims 3, but the error was happening on tweetdeck last week.

Anyone got any ideas?

Kev

Are all your drivers updated for your video card, chipset, and directx?

I believe so, but I'll check that.

Download and install Revo Uninstaller and use it to remove both games.

I have two copies of this file...one in the System32/dllcache folder.

I would copy that one...delete the current file that is the bad image...and replace the current with the copy.

"Bad image" can be various things, from unreadable file to malware, IMO.

I only have one copy of that file, so can't copy.

I'll try uninstalling and re-installing with that program tomorrow.

I am getting another error too, avgdiagex.exe has encountered a problem. I think it is related to AVG. It just occurs when i first boot up.

I ran spybot and found a few things and have deleted them.

I used the unistaller to unistall tweetdeck and Simms.

I down loaded tweetdeck again, and when I double clicked the installer, I get the same error!!!

The program continued to install, but I am still getting the same error on start up.

I haven't bothered re-installing Sims 3 yet.

Any ideas?

Take a look in Event Viewer...at the errors, not info items, not warnings...focus on the Applications tab.

Double-click line item to see the detail.

Post the detail, ID number, and source for the last five errors on the Applications tab.

I fixed it by re-copying the DLL over itself.
