I've been told I have to reload all my USB drivers to Win XPPro, and that to do this, I need to enter windows safe mode. How do I do this? I've tried pressing F8 or CTRL as the computer is starting up (told this would work), but it does nothing. There's probably an easy answer, but I haven't got it yet! Please give simple instructions -THANKS!

Pressing F8 will bring you to the boot menu (Well it should). Tapping F5 as you boot should take you straight into Safe Mode.
Have you tried deleting the USB devices from the device manager in System Properties, and rebooting? Windows should prompt you at start up to reinstall the USB devices, and drivers. You may need to have your XP CD. When prompted if you point at C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ it may detect the drivers without the CD.

Thanks for all the leads. I wasn't hitting the F8 key early enough. Great site!
