But I still have rkill stopping almost immediately after starting, I reformatted the pc about a week ago but may have reinfected when I put back my documents and photo files, Gmer says a rootkit has altered (I think that is what it said) files.

Hope this is enough of a description.

Hi I can see that you guys are overloaded so I have decided to wipe my hard drive and reinstall a new linux Mint OS to get rid of this malware hassle.
