Trying to update (Windows or others)- an Error sign comes up telling:

Error 1706. No valid source could be found for product
Search Settings v1.2.3. The Windows Installer cannot continue

I have tried numerous times to get rid of the problem but no remedy seems to be found. The actual file ("Search Settings v1.2.3") is nowhere to be found!

Remedies, hints? Have ComboFix and HijackThis...

"Search Settings" is a malicious program: http://www.ehow.com/how_6038214_delete-search-settings.html
Usually, drive-by-install.
