Hi All,

I've been using FF for several years and for some odd reason I never have been able to download anything that is in the FTP format.

Is there a setting in FF that blocks FTP downloads?

I'm currently waiting for some help in the Malware forum and can't make any changes to my PC, so I have plenty of time to do some reading, and I decided that now would be a good time to do some studying on the subject, so if any of you could point me to some good reference material I sure would appreciate it.

Thanks for any advice.

That is odd. I use FF almost exclusively. Never a problem with ftp downloads. No add-ons needed.

I would suggest that perhaps it is another program, perhaps security related that is the problem.

Hi All, Thanks for your replies.

OK, so if there aren't any add-on's needed to download FTP stuff with FF, is there any chance that they might be being blocked by some other settings that are stashed away on my system, that I am unaware of, that might be set to block that type of file download?

EDITED: I forgot to say "Thank You" to buddy215 for those two links, which I shall now dash off to read.

Thanks for any advice.

Wendy
