Thinkpoint virus

I was wondering if anyone can help me with this annoying problem. I recently encountered this Thinkpoint virus and went to this website to seek some help regarding this matter. I came across the Uninstall Guide for Thinkpoint and followed it step-by-step. As soon as I restarted my computer, it was considerably slow running applications and all of a sudden, similar to the Thinkpoint virus, a disk defrag application popped on my screen followed by a message saying "Windows can't find hard disk space. Hard drive error."

I'm using my mobile device to write this question for I'm helpless with my slow laptop. Is there any way to resolve this or should I resort to re-formatting?
