Infected with Spyware Protection 2010 (or whatever crap is behind it). Can't really run any programs except for Internet Explorer. Tried to enable my firewall (Window's Defender) but can't. Tried to run DDS but can't. Tried to create a GMER log, but. Keep getting warnings in the bottom right of the screen saying I'm infected and suggesting I purchase their tool (yea, right).

Try downloading and using the SUPERAntiSpyware Portable Scanner in Safe Mode. Save the randomly named file (i.e. SAS_1710895.COM) to a usb drive or CD and transfer to the infected computer. Then double-click on it to launch and scan. The file is randomly named to help keep malware from blocking the scanner.
