Good Morning

I have a wierd issue. I ran my virus scan (Avast) and found nothing. But then when I went to reboot my machine(Dell OP GX620) would not reboot. So I did a hard shutdown. When the machine came back up my browsers would not load.
1. IE8 would start to load then disappear.
2. Slim Browser would give a dump warning and not start.

I ran every malware soft ware I could think of and found nothing.

I reinstalled IE and Slimbrowser. Now IE8 is doing same thing but slimbrowser will load and allow me to enter http or wbesite but will not allow search. I tried default search, yahoo search and google same thing can enter search items and hir search but nothing. I booted my laptop and compared setting and they seem the same.
