Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200.12 reliability

Newbie here and just want to say hello and ask you advise on what would be a better decision on my hdd choice.
I have a chance to pick up a couple of Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200.12 drives for a good price. Just have been hearing
alot of talk that these drives are very unreliable and wondering what your experience is or what you have heard. My other choise
is the samsung f3's

I have two of these drives in SATA RAID configuration since they appeared in the market. They work 24/7 without any problems so far. Actually all the hard drives I got are from Seagate and I never encountered any problems. Maybe I am lucky :thumbsup: ?
