Hello,

I have a PC infected with Antivirus 2010 I believe. Mbam stops after 2 seconds and then I dont have permission to run it. I have tried all the renaming tricks on the web and nothing works. My further research tells me that Combofix is the thing to run. I haven't downloaded or run it yet. I am asking for the experts to give me a hand as suggested in this forum.

Thanks,

Ron

Cryptodan,

Yes I did and this process would not start Mbam for more than 2 seconds. I ran the DOS command to allow access to the file again, renamed every which way and still would not run.

Yep, tried in Safe Mode. It seems the PC in question now does not even have internet access although all connection parameters say it should. It's on the same home network as the one I am on now.
