Hello,

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.

Hello.

What is file extension .OCX?

.ocx stands for OLE Control eXtension. It's more commonly known as an ActiveX control.

***************************************************

what is program to open that dds file? My file extension have been changed to something else.

I am unsure what you are asking. DDS should run by itself if you double click it. When the program is finished it will open a log file for you.

Well. That DDS problem is this: It is a .SCR extension file. That .SCR extension has been changed by other program what I use. What is a correct program to open a .SCR file?

Question :Do you know Emsisoft Anti-Malware program?

Try Emisisoft HiJack Free. It shows those Active-X plugins also.

I see. In that case, please substitute the following program for DDS. Continue to follow the prep guide as normal afterwards.

  • Please download OTL from one of the following mirrors:
  • Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the Posted Image icon on your desktop.
  • Click the "Scan All Users" checkbox.
  • Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check.
  • Push the Posted Image button.
  • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
  • Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and paste them into the body of your next reply.

OTL running now. Avast! background shield also checking all files. Neat. Two scans at same time.

Those OTL logs shows some user sensitive data. I want to remove some data before I post them at here. Can I do that? I'm good at editing irrelevant things off those logs.

It is preferable that you do not edit the logs at this time. Sometimes what is and is not irrelevant isn't very clear to the untrained eye. Once you have finished with your topic in the Malware Removal Forum, you may PM a moderator with the link to your topic and details on what you would like to have removed.

In that case, please post only the OTL.txt

If your helper requires Extras.txt, he/she will direct you on how to generate it specifically.

The key here is to get you posted in the Logs forum properly ASAP. The sooner we do that, the sooner a helper will be able to get to you.
