Hello everyone!

I am new to the site, and I am so impressed with the help that can be found here. I stumbled across a post when looking for info about my NOW GONE WinFixer/Trojan Vundo Virus. After many failed attempts to remove it using the NAV tool, I started looking for more information online. I am no computer whiz by any means, but I did NOT want to spend upwards of $100 having this thing removed from my computer, and decided to try it myself.

The clear step-by-step instructions available at this site gave me the confidence to move forward, and after completing the processes outlined in the introductory instructions, I followed the directions in the post "How to remove Winfixer/Virtumonde/msevents/Trojan.Vundo" for a successfull removal of this virus. (The VirtumundoBegone did the trick!) I now report clean scans, no MSevents in the HijackThis Log, and a virus-free computer (so far).

I want to thank everyone in the bleepingcomputer community for taking the time and effort to share your knowledge with us Newbies.

By the way, I work in Upstate New York as a marketing and communications manager, and now I can get back to working from home on my HEALTHY computer! I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!
