I saw a few tutorials on downloading 3rd party programs just to cover it, but the more recent comments indicate that they're no longer valid. So any new work around to this?

Btw, I'm not looking for autohide the taskbar. I just want it gone when I'm on full screen.

Here's a screnshot of my game and the taskbar, if you don't know exactly what
I mean.
As you can see, despite the game being a full screen that dreaded taskbar sticks around to bug me.

Truthfully, I just installed win 7 so I don't even have that option on my Taskbar Properties. :/

Yeah dan, you don't get that option in 7.

I'm guessing it's a problem with the game itself.

Have you tried clicking an empty portion of the taskbar while the game is open, and then clicking back inside the game? This works for me when my video player is in full screen, and the taskbar is unnecessarily present.

So when you right click on the Taskbar and go through the tabs you do not see the following:

I think I have to go with Keyboardninja that it probably doesn't have it on win 7. My taskbar properties look nothing like that:

Lock the Taskbar could have the same affect as Always On Top, so uncheck it and try it.

Nah, I think Lock just means you can't move it around. If you unlock it, you can resize or move to other sides of the screen by dragging. Could be wrong, though.

AssaultCube works fine for me in full screen (no taskbar visible).

Like I said, I think it's an issue with the game.

Does this happen with all your games, zxcvb55?

Did you try using F11 when in the game window and F11 to revert back, works with browser windows. Is there a full screen option in the game that needs to be selected, like in Media Player it fills the desktop but the task bar is there until you select full screen.

Okay, oddly enough my changing my resolution a bit, it worked.

So I guess it was a resolution issue..

Glad you got it solved, post back if you encounter this again.
