hi

i have 2 h/drives i want to access, when i connect them [seperately] the pc will not boot, they are correctly set as slaves, any ideas?

win xp
ide connection
160 gb or less

hi
western digital hard drive

my western digital diagnostic software says "quick test, pass" but "smart test says spin up time fail" can someone throw some light on this pls

also in the warrantee colum it says "1", does thios mean i year left

If the PC won't boot with a drive attached...I generally interpret that as a problem with one of the drives.

Some systems won't boot if a damaged/dead hard drive is attached.
