I have a HP Pavilion dv2415nr laptop. I just reinstalled Vista and I have been updating all night, got service pack 1 on it, downloaded all microsoft updates, I have checked for updates over an over and now it is to the point where it is only showing me two available important updates. They are Security update for windows vista (KB981852) 13KB , and the other one is Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (KB948465) 6MB. First off I thought the service pack 2 was a bigger file then that, and also this is where I have the problem, I have tried installing these updates probably 8 to 9 times now but no results. I dont get any installation failed or computer needs to restart. The funny part is if I check in View Update History it shows it as installed successful. If I look in my control panel/ system, it only shows SP1 installed. Please Help me someone before I put my fist through my screen. lol

Update: I just ran the System Update Readiness tool and am trying to install the updates. I will let you know if it worked.

Update 2: well no luck, I dont have a clue what to do now.

Update 3: Can someone tell me this now, If i just leave it the way it is am I under any huge security threat?
I have Zonealarm firewall, avast antivirus, malwarebytes......is this enough to keep me safe and my computer running ok?
