Well I'm not sure how I got infected, but I ran an Avast scan and it said that my explorer.exe and wininit.exe files are infected with Win32:Bamital-AF. I have searched extensively for some way to remove it but I have had no luck.
When I log in normally to Windows Vista I am greeted with a grey-white screen and no desktop icons show. The Task manager is the only way I am able to run programs, but now after a certain amount of time I get the blue screen of death. Safe mode works fine however.

Hello,

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue. If you cannot create the logs in Normal Mode, please use Safe Mode and explain why you had to do so.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.
