I purchased 4 of these used. 3 of them power up properly - an on screen display message window reports "waiting for input signal". 4th unit comes up and immediately begins displaying solid colors one after the other [3 seconds per color]:

RED
GREEN
BLUE
YELLOW
MAGENTA
AQUA
WHITE
BLACK

Then, repeats this cycle.

I have powered off and unplugged for 5 mins attempting to make it go dead and reset / default. No luck.

Thanks in advance for help.

Hi! Welcome to Bleeping Computer

Considering that each of the 3 other displays powered up properly, I would return the 4th one as it seems to be defective.

Just to make sure, you tried the monitors one at a time all on the same computer, correct?

Thanks - can't return them. But it sure seems that all the basic functions are good - and i'm stuck in this diagnostics mode.

I even have a vague partial memory that this unit had powered up properly - but the backlight/brightness had seemed low turned down. So, I started pushing the 3 front panel buttons trying to get the config screen to come up so I could turn brightness up. I feel it's moderately likely that this button pushing sequence had caused the monitor to go into this color flipping/diag mode.

Does pressing the auto config button on your monitor do anything?
