Hi,

I want to buy a external DVD burner but Its very important that I can boot directly from it.. for example to install Windows 7 on a mini computer or other ISO that I want to boot. Does all external dvd burners support this or do I need anything special.. if so how could I know?

It's not up to the burner. It's up to your BIOS. If it supports booting from USB device, any burner will do.
