I read the following item in your forums: How to remove a Trojan, Virus, Worms, or other Malware. It recommends running Autoruns in safe mode (Windows XP Home). When I do that it hangs.

The forum says that when the program starts "Click on the OPTIONS menu". I don't see an OPTIONS menu. The window that appears has 13 tabs, NONE of which say OPTIONS, not that that would help since the dreaded hourglass is sitting there doing nothing. It's very frustrating when your forums lead to a dead end.

Options is on the top menu - File > Entry > Options > User. When starting autoruns, you need to wait for the program to finish scanning your system and indicate it is ready (at the bottom) before Options becomes accessible.

For trojans, I suggest you download and scan with Ewido Security Suite 3.5.
