When I am trying to use a new utility or program that I have found linked here, I am having a problem viewing/inputting commands into the program.

I click the file, and a bunch of text will scroll, and it closes.

What is the cause of this problem? How can I stop my MS-DOS programs from doing this?

Knowing which program it is you are trying to use would go a long way in us assisting you.

I am trying to use PsTools. The extracted files are all MS-DOS programs, none of which are simple installation programs. Each has its own particular function.

One in particular would be psloglist.exe.

They are all command line tools. Meaning they only run in DOS via command line instructions.
