Hi,

My hard drive crashed and put in a new one. All is well except Ulead DVD movieFactory will not install. Using windows XP. First try the computer locked up. On the next try got the error message.

Error OX80040702 Failed to load DLL;u32inst

I have used CC cleaner to clean out all temp files from the first install. Will still not load. What do I do next?

Thanks

Are you attempting to install from a disk or a downloaded program file?
If a disk then make sure the disk is clean and reasonably scratch free.

The other possibility is a dirty lenses on the CD\DVD drive. A little blast of compressed air may take care of it.

I googled the error and do not like or endorse any of the few suggested fix`s I read. Ulead does offer some Product Help Forums. Unless another member chimes in who is familiar with the product, error. You may find knowledgeable help there.

Problem solved, tech updated Active X to 11.0 and updated my video driver. I guess one of the two was causing the error. Thanks for the suggestions.

Glad you were able to get it working.

Having no experience with the particular program I was only able to offer the most basic of trouble shooting advice.
