QC 9 installation gives problem when configuring database

Hi i am trying to install QC 9 on win xp spk2. i installed IIS, i tried installing without msde, i get error msde installation failed, then i installed msde 2000. the error is "An Error occurred while attempting to connect to the database. Please check that the database is available and that the given parameters are correct. Click Back to correct the database configuration variables". i uninstalled msde as advised my mahender, still no luck, it goes upto 15% installation & shows the error again. plz provide me a solution.

What is QC 9?

The error is telling you that the application cannot connect to the database. Do you have a database installed?

QC stands for quality center.
I already have database installed on my machine but still get this error.

Apparently there is a problem with your QC 9 setup since it can't find the database. Contact the QC 9 support forum:
