I have 11 each of svchost.exe running in my process in task manager. Is this normal? Why are there so many?
Sure would appreciate a answer back from someone who knows. Thanks!

I usually have seven or eight running...depends on what you have installed that has thrown in an updater or scanner, if we are talking legit processes.

Take a look at browser add-ons and toolbars you have installed.

I have 17 Svchosts running on my machine, and I use Windows Vista Ultimate.
