I'm trying to build my own computer by buying all the right parts and everything like that, but i have no idea where to begin. Can someone tell me, or does anybody know, of a site that guides people, like me, on building a computer? I want to know which brands are the best and how to get the best performance out of the stuff i buy. I appreciate anyone that can point me in the right direction.

Once you have determined what you'll be using your system for will also guide you in parts selection.

Make of pieces and parts used are often a matter of personal choice, by recommendation of others,
and/or price.

You might also review some of the other threads in the Hardware forum of individuals also building systems.

Once you have made your decisions on where you are headed with your system, there are many here
that will provide additional guidance and opinions.
