I was cleaning out alot of old programs from my laptop to create space and accidentally removed all of my Windows Office 2007 programs! I don't know how i did this, but how do I go about recovering all of those Office programs if i cannot find the discs?

I really only need Microsoft Word for my Resume updating and looking for better opportunities, the other programs i never use...

any advice??

Get yourself a free suite of programs:

OpenOffice

Open office is a good program, but it won't help with editing the resume as it was written with Windows Office 2007.

If this was a repair installation of the operating system I could suggest that you just borrow a installation CD to do the repair since you have the proper product code. But I can't suggest that you borrow a installation CD from a friend to reinstall the Office 2007 since you will need the product code for that disk in order to make the installation. Advising you to do this would be against our forum rules regarding circumventing any copyrighted products.

Actually, OpenOffice can read MS Office 2007 files just fine.

I stand corrected. I knew that Open Office could read Office 2007, but I wasn't aware that they are interchangeable.

It's a Compaq Laptop running Windows XP. I have dowloaded the free version of Word 2010 and expires on the 25th of this month. I needed it to update my Resume in search for better jobs!

Did your Compaq come with any CD"s? You may have to reinstall Office 2007.
