what is button monitor?

I have this thing called ButtonMoniter on my start-up list and i am unsure what it is, ive been recently hacked and im wondering if its some sort of spyware?

File Name: ACMonitor_Xxx.exe
Status: Lexmark Xxx Button Monitor may be required at startup for a certain device or program to run properly.
Additional Info: Associated with the Lexmark Xxx (where "xx" is the model) all-in-one printer/scanner/copier. Required for correct operation.

Are you sure of the spelling of the item in your start up list. That is rather important as well. Could it Button Moniter, Button Monitor, buttonmoniter or buttonmonitor? case and spelling factor in looking for possible malware issues. Also found a reference to Western Digital 'one button' backup, using a Button Monitor. Do you have that installed?
