Hi, I suddenly find i7 Turbo boost in my taskbar. I can't remember loading this program and don't understand what it's for. Shall I get rid of it as I don't know what to do with it? Norton has done a scan recently. Thanks.

Seem`s to be a legit program. More info here.

Does not seem to be necessary. Up to the User`s discretion.

Not an Intel processor user. Hopefully one will check in with more information and may be better equipped to answer any further questions you may have.
