Thank you for reading my post.
I have a Windows Server 2003 machine that I have been tasked with cleaning viruses from. I have used Trojan Remover (which is obtained from www.simplysup.com), Malwarebytes, and Sophos Anti-Rootkit and have not had any luck. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
This server will redirect all attempts to go to websites for virus tools and such on IE to Bing Search Results for the same topic. I.E. www.microsoft.com and windows updates are not available.
Malwarebytes is up to date and is showing no infections. Trojan remover finds nothing. Sophos Anti-Rootkit sees a hidden DLL file C:\windows\system32\dwfajl.dll I have allowed Sophos to attempt it's removal, it does so, the redirects go away for about 10 minutes, then I am back in the same boat as the same file grows back.
I do not have access to a backup of this Server before the infection, I DO however have a full back up of it's current state so we can feel free to play rough if we need to.
I will gladly supply any logs you require.
Thanks,
iGmO
