In this printer there is a procedure that I seem to have to go through when putting new ink cartridge in (not like other printers I have had where I would just put the ink in and it would work.) this one I replace a cartridge and it wont work until I charge it, When I click on print I get a box come up with the print cartridges pictured only two choices how to and stop I select how to and I get the procedure for replacing ink cartridges which if I follow it moves the chamber in my printer to where I can insert the cartridges then I have to click ok to start charging ink, then I get this cartridge is incompatible with this printer. I have contacted the people where I purchased the cartridges and I am waiting replies. I dont know why they have to be chnarged I think it could be to try and get a person to buy genuine epson cartridges which are more expensive. Can anyone tell me the reason and what charging does? I have had no problems in the past going through this procedure.
