I have an older hp scanjet 4600 series digital flatbed scanner w the optional slide/negative scanner. The Flatbed and slide/negative scanner worked fine until I moved it to this newer computer. The scanner works perfectly but now the slide/negative scanner will not work. Looking at the HP and other internet sites, the reported problem is w the hp director. The hp director will not work even though the icon is there. I have tried different patches and minimizing hp director and hitting alt space. I continue to get error messages. Any thoughts?

<<...reported problem is w the hp director...>>

HP said that? What's the projected cure, then?

You have a link for this allegation...or is this just some other user taking a guess at what could be wrong?

If it's the same software you previously installed and it worked perfectly before with XP...then I would uninstall the software and install it again.
