Some Monitor Weird Problems Can Anyone Help

Ok well just recently i've knowed that when i write things or some images on white like for instance if put lol there's this white shadow of that l i write like it's sorta like a ghost shadow imatation of the real l i put so it sorta looks like a double l with this problem can anyone help hopefully there's a fix for this so i can get rid of those annoying white shadow ghost things it's annoying.

Dear Doug,

Turn off computer and unplug power cord. Then open computer and reseat video card. If you don't have a video card then check connections and clean with isoprobel alcohol (rubbing alcohol).

holy crap it fixed the shawdows but the thing is i didnt even go into my whole cpu to reset the video card all i did was took out the power cord you told me too shutdown the cpu of course before and took out the two screws of the cpu tower p ut them back in it turned of the cpu switch and thn back on again and when i rebooted up no more shadows.

now the funny thing is my 36 inch tv does the same now haha i get the cpu fixed and now the tv has the same problem wonder how im gonna fix that lol.
