Hi, I've had an issue for some time. I had some kind of virus. It cause my internet to redirect or shut down for most webistes. I used the combofix and malware byes and they no longer find any viruses but I still have issues. A lot of websites shut down when I try to visit them. My sound no longer works. I tried to do a MS update this morning and it won't let me get on that site either. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Hi 101310, and welcome to BleepingComputer.

ComboFix is an extremely powerful tool which should only be used when instructed to do so by a member of our Malware Removal Team who has been properly trained. ComboFix is intended by its creator to be "used under the guidance and supervision of an expert", NOT for private use. Please read Combofix's Disclaimer. Using this tool incorrectly could lead to disastrous problems with your operating system such as preventing it from ever starting again.

It has been suggested that this topic be moved to the Am I Infected forum where our well trained Malware Removal Team will assist you in cleaning this computer. Please be patient, one of the MRT members will help you as soon as possible.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

Hello,

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<== starting at step 6.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Since you have run ComboFix, please include the ComboFix log in the new topic. Please be sure to include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to try to resolve them.

If you cannot produce any of the other logs, then please create the new topic anyway, include the information that you were unable to produce the other logs and why and include the ComboFix log along with a description of your computer issues.
