UPDATE : My hard disk crashed. That explains it all

Hi,

I was downloading updates manually so I can use them on other machines in my network too.

While downloading KB2378111 for Vista, I encountered a strange thing - download was originally 12.1MB but it stopped in the middle. I downloaded again, this time the size was merely 2.7MB !

Looks like Microsoft is modifying the released updates at will. What about those who downloaded older update? Or is this something on my side (creepy) ?

BC friends and seniors, please share your opinions and show me the light

Thanks

Thanks Broni.
Later I found more strange activities. After setting it to perform chkdsk, when I rebooted my hard disk could not be found. Just checked by plugging it into other system, it is gone

As for the change of size in download files...I might attribute that to the fact that some files had already been downloaded onto your system. I can't say for sure, but that's my wild guess .

Sorry about the hard drive, but with multiple systems, it's not the tragedy it could have been.

I had one DOA last month.

Louis
