Hi There,

I am new to the forum and despite numerous searches I cant find answers so here is my issue, hopefully someone can please help!

For some reason my PC has strted grinding to a halt. It appears that 'ipconfig' keeps popping up (not on the screen - just in the process box of the task manager) and this is using all of my very basic PC's CPU.

Instead of 'resting' at 10% usage as usual it spikes up to 100% every few seconds! I have also, on occasion, found over a dozen 'ipconfigs' open in teh task manager when I have not tried to run it. I am also seeing svchost.exe and nbtstat.exe appearing and disappearing which also slows everything down.

My searches on the net tell me I am possibly infected although I have mcafee running as well as windows firewall. I have also run 'housecall' and this found no issues..

Any thoughts?
