Rebuilt a Sony Vaio but did not have the Sony Recovery CDs. No big deal I thought -- just put Home XP on it like it used to have - did every and any update from Microsoft etc etc to get the system current. Have 2 device manager exclamation marks yet - 1 is a Multimedia Video Controller and the other just says other - they are grouped together. So now my question is................in this computer is a card with COAX on it and some other ports. Here are some numbers on the card :
LIME ENX-15. 1 682-228-12. LSI ZIVA 3. Sony CXD9592GC. Japan 0249EAI. Sony 1-693-510-12.TSCH6-112B.2D1024A. There are others to but that should be sufficient. I contacted Sony and they are less than helpful. They want me to order the recovery CDs. Ive looked various plces for this on the net in various forums but it seems there is not an easy solution to this.

Any and all help is greatlly appreciated.

Thanks

Did you check the Sony support site ?

Enter the requested information and it should point you to the need`d drivers.

Yep ! Been there / done that. Even sent an email to tech support at Sony. They propose that I go ahead and buy the Recovery CD.

Thanks
