Help duplicate processes running!

i have notices that programs have been crashing especiay on IE8 i went on task manager to end the process and found that lots of things have duplicated them selves more then 3 times =(

Why is this happening is it something wrong with the OS?

Well, it is normal for IE8 to have multiple processes running, as the browser (just like Google Chrome) runs each tab in it's own process. The reason being if you have a tab that is not responding (crashed plugin, for example), you don't have to close the whole window. Personally, I would recommend Firefox or Chrome over IE8 any day.

As for the AVG....well, that's AVG for you (a resource hog). The only anti-virus I use and recommend is Avast.

And the svchost is normal for Windows: What is svchost.exe And Why Is It Running?

What other programs have been crashing on you?
