I managed to whilst trawling cyber space to pick up a rogue security program that kept popping up and saying I was infected with all sorts and told me for $49 they could fix it. It wouldn't let me down load anything saying that the down load was affected etc. The 'pop ups' drove me daft. After a few hours my Avast virus software sorted it and it is no more.
But I am now scared its lurking ready to pounce.
I have run Hijackthis and I have the log to prove it can someone decode this log for me and tell me what to do next please.
Fred

EDIT: Moved from XP forum to Am I Infected forum. Appropriate guidance will be provided by BC Staff personnel at that forum ~ Hamluis.

Wrong forum, also don't run HJT without someone asking you to.

Search for 'rKill' and run it, it should get rid of those pop-ups whilst you wait for help

Why?
If its the wrong forum it might be helpful if you told me what is the right forum!!!
Thankyou
