Hi everyone! This is my first topic on the forum and I hope you guys can help me out with this, since it's way out of my league.

I've been having some trouble with my internet connection and it's been suggested that my PC could be infected with some spyware or other malware. I tryied using different anti-spyware tools and they keep saying the PC is clean. I've run: Malwarebytes-anti-malware, Spyware Doctor, Spybot S-D, and the scans keep coming back clean. I've also scanned for viruses with Avira AntiVir and kept Spywareblaster up to date. I'm running Windows XP by the way.

The problem is that my connection (wired) breaks up for a second or so every now and then. I've noticed it while playing online games and using teamspeak: each time the connection breaks out I first get lagged and then disconnected from the game and the teamspeak server. The connection then goes back to normal as if nothing had happened.

I've tryied calling my ISP and they claim the connection is working fine and that any trouble I might be experiencing is due to the alleged infections.

Could any of you point out a solution for this?
Thanks.

Hi everyone! Since my last message things have taken a turn for the worse: I'm now getting infected scans from the antivirus (Avira). The virus are trojans, this are a couple of the reports I got:

The file 'C:\WINDOWS\Temp\TMP195.tmp'
contained a virus or unwanted program 'TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen3' [trojan]
Action(s) taken:
The file could not be opened!
An attempt is being made to scan the file with the aid of the snapshot driver.
An error has occurred and the file was not deleted. ErrorID: 26004.
The source file could not be found.
Attempting to perform action using the ARK library.
The file was moved to the quarantine directory under the name '3119e172.qua'.

The file 'C:\WINDOWS\Temp\TMP112.tmp'
contained a virus or unwanted program 'TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen2' [trojan]
Action(s) taken:
The file could not be opened!
An attempt is being made to scan the file with the aid of the snapshot driver.
An error has occurred and the file was not deleted. ErrorID: 26004.
The source file could not be found.
Attempting to perform action using the ARK library.
The file was moved to the quarantine directory under the name '26cc8797.qua'.

I'm infected with dozens of these according to the scan.

Thanks!

Hello,

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.
