I have a Dell laptop here that has an interesting problem.
I have rum Malwarebytes and the program shuts down moments after I start to scan.
When I click on the executable I get the warning Access denied. Even in safe mode as Administrator.
This happens with any and all scanning software.

I ran the latest Kasperski LiveCD and updated, results were clean
I then removed the disk and scanned it with AVG and Spybot in another computer and it came up clean.

Does anybody have an isea what might have taken hold ofthis machine?

Thanks for your time!

P.S. I forgot to mention that it's running XP Home
