My buddies computer has Security Tool on it
When the comp is started up normally, it does not allow me to open up mbam and i get an error message saying that the file mbam.exe is infected from security tool (which i know isn't true and security tool is just blocking)
When I start the comp in safemode, i can run scans with malwarebytes it finds about 7 infected files i believe...but cannot remove them
I also tried running scans with VipreRescue but it had no luck removing Security Tools
I tried following the removal guide on bleepingcompuer but security will not allow malwarebytes to install on the comp
I don't know where to go from here...i thank everyone for there time in helping me
and my buddies comp is running windows vista 32-bit

Hi,

Please download exeHelper to your desktop.
Double-click on exeHelper.com to run the fix.
A black window should pop up, press any key to close once the fix is completed.
Post the contents of log.txt (Will be created in the directory where you ran exeHelper.com)
Note: If the window shows a message that says Error deleting file, please re-run the program before posting a log - and post the two logs together (they will both be in the one file).

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here or here or here.
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds file to run the tool.
  • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
    1. DDS.txt
    2. Attach.txt
  • Save both reports to your desktop. Post them back to your topic.
