I am trying to help out a friend with her slow running computer. Her x used it in the past and had downloaded many items and was not very careful. I tried to analyze the log but came up with a critical error. If you would like to review the log, I can email it to youor view the attached. I appreciate any help you may provide. The seems to be quite a few no 24 Active x once on the desktop. I ran malwarebytes and AVG and the results were clean so far.

Hello rjtim,

Please avoid installing/uninstalling or updating any programs and attempting any unsupervised fixes or scans. This can make helping you impossible.

Download Security Check by screen317 from here or here.
Save it to your Desktop.
Double click SecurityCheck.exe and follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.
A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt.
Please post the contents of that document. Do not attach it.

************

Please post the last Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware log so I can see what it found.
The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Do not attach it.

************
A new version of HijackThis has been released, Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.4

Please download and install the new version of Hijackthis
Make sure you downloaded the EXECUTIBLE version rather then the INSTALLER version.

Uninstall the old Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2 version.

Please post a fresh Hijackthis log. Do not attach it.

************

Download FindAWF:
http://noahdfear.geekstogo.com/FindAWF.exe
Save the file to the Desktop
Double-click the FindAWF icon.

If a Security Alert shows, allow the program to run.
As instructed, press any key to continue.
Use the following option: Press 1 then Enter to scan for bak folders
The scan may take a while, please be patient.

When done, a text file, Find AWF report is produced that we need to look at.
Please post it in your reply. Do not attach it.
