Any ideas as to why neither of my disk drives are being seen by my computer?
I have 2 of them. A DVD/RX drive and a CD drive. Neither of them work anymore and neither of them show up when I open "My computer" icon. As far as I know nothing has changed on the computer. Anything I need to check as far as Jumpers and such, inside the computer hardware?
thanks for any help.

Check the cables to make sure nothing has come loose. If they are on the same cable make sure one is set to master and one to slave.

Do either of the devices show up in device manager?

In the device manager does the second IDE controller appear? Your hard drive would be on the Primary controller, and the CDs should appear on the second controller. The controller should appear even if the drives don't.
