Hello,

Any reason why your windows isn't up to date? You don't have even ServicePack1 installed!
Remember that your system is extremely vulnerable without the necessary security patches/updates, so malware can get installed automatically while surfing without any problems.
Please visit http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and update to Service Pack 1.
When your system is clean afterwards, then update to SP2, because updating to SP2 CAN cause problems as long as you are infected.

I also see you don't have an antivirus and firewall installed.
You don't have any protection present in the background, that's why I really want you to install an antivirus and firewall!!

Zonealarm, Kerio OR Sygate are FREE firewalls.

Understanding and using firewalls

Download and install Kaspersky Antivirus from here: http://www.kaspersky.com/trials?chapter=146481750

This is a trial for 30 days. But you really need it right now. I'll give you more tips afterwards what options you have when the trial is expired.

Install Kaspersky and update it. (Click Update now in the left panel)
After being updated, Click 'Scan my computer'
Let it perform a full scan and let it delete everything it is finding.

Reboot afterwards

Post a new hijackthislog after reboot.

I've downloaded a new firewall and a new virus protection software, as well as Ad aware. I feel I've pinned down these programs but i know the are still present on my computer. The pop up at start up is the most annoying with a web address of "Hxxp:// 7.0.85.20.117/~non00bs/new.html. Then is tries to install a *.cab file ( not certain of name off top of me head) Any how here is my updated log. Hoping for answers

Hello,

Can you please update your windows to SP1 as I already asked you before?
Please visit http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and update to Service Pack 1. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.

After you updated, please post back a new hijackthislog. Don't wait another 10 days to perform my instructions.

Edit... You still didn't install an antivirus either.. :flowers:
It is important instructions are being followed, because it is with a reason we ask you. It's difficult to help someone when they won't follow instructions. :trumpet:

Hi,

I attempted to update my windows but the registery has had already been activated?

Can you explain? Because I don't really understand what you are telling in here...

And I was looking at the first log.. instead of the last one, that explains why I didn't see an antivirus installed. There is now.

I apologize for the delay in response, I will have SP2 before the weekend. The xp version i was using was given to me by a friend (I know... I know.... ) I really appreciate the help.

Just a quick update, I am now running into a shut down issue. If i do anything extensive on my PC it freezes and needs a cold restart. After turning my PC back on its stating an issue with my dispay drivers. *sigh* one thing after another....

Hi,

Well as you say, if you're having SP2 before the weekend and install it, I assume you format and reinstall everything? Because when the XP version present on the system is illegal, you'll have no other choice.

The reinstall will solve your other problems as well. Because as you already noticed, your system is badly compromised.
