I originally got the Anti-Virus 2010 Security Centre Virus, I had to manually remove the virus deleting files and registry values in safe mode. After doing so I was unable to run Malwarebytes because it was being blocked and could not update. I also tried in safe mode to no avail. I have been doing some reading in your forums and tried almost everything I could think of to resolve the problem, finally I ran combofix and it removed some things and now I can get to all antivirus websites and update malwarebytes, but as soon as I start the scan it closes. I have also tried the following and they all close after scan initiates : hijackthis, spybot, ad-aware, superanti-spyware, RootRepeal, OTL, Hitman 3.5, McAffee, Microsoft Security Essentials, Microsoft malicious software removal tool and ATF-Cleaner... All close imediately after scan begins and if I try to open them again I get the following error: "windows cannot access the specified path you may not have the appropriate permissions." I was able to install Symantec Endpoint Protection 11, but I had to first give the local administrator account access to the program files directory and all sub folder such as common files. After installing Symantec I updated and ran a full systems scan catching some viruses

Bloodhound.PDF.21 collab[1].pdf C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\U9X1BHDX\

These risks were quaranteened but I am still unable to run any other scan, they all close imediately upon pressing the scan button. I was able to run: catchme, GMER, tdsskiller all found nothing.

GOOD LUCK TO THE GUY that gets stuck helping me, I may be beyond help at this point.

Ok having run ComboFix we will need to see that log. This is why we have the Blue text above this forum.

Please go here....
Preparation Guide ,do steps 6 - 9.

Create a DDS log and post it in the new topic explained in step 9,which is here Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs and not in this topic, thanks.
Skip Gmer, instead psot the ComboFix log.

Let me know if that went well.

That's OK, not a problem ,that is why I explained it for you.

EDIT:I've also combined your posts there into one post, see below.

Now that your log is properly posted, you should NOT make further changes to your computer (install/uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc) unless advised by a Malware Removal Team member, nor should you continue to ask for help elsewhere. Doing so can result in system changes which may not show it the log you already posted. Further, any modifications you make on your own may cause confusion for the helper assisting you and could complicate the malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer.

From this point on the Malware Removal Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean.

Please be patient. It may take a while to get a response because the Malware Removal Team members are very busy working logs posted before yours. They are volunteers who will help you out as soon as possible. Once you have made your post and are waiting, please DO NOT make another reply until it has been responded to by a member of the Malware Removal Team. Generally the staff checks the forum for postings that have 0 replies as this makes it easier for them to identify those who have not been helped. If you post another response there will be 1 reply. A team member, looking for a new log to work may assume another HJT Team member is already assisting you and not open the thread to respond.

To avoid confusion, I am closing this topic.
