Hi guys I have a HP G60 laptop and I don't use it too much, and there's a LOT of free space on the hard drive but as of late its just been randomly freezing. I will have two Firefox windows open and as soon as I minimize one, both of them freeze up. I'll be reading my notes off a PDF and I'll scroll down, everything will freeze. Task Manager won't work 98% of the time and sometimes when it does, even if I go to processes and end whatever is frozen, it doesn't end the process.. It doesn't shut down either through the start menu, I have to hold the power button in order to shut it down. Any solutions? Thanks in advance!

Also the top menu (with the minimize, maximize, and close button ) and bottom taskbar randomly flicker at times. The only way to make it stop is double clicking on the taskbars themselves.

Try using 1 firefox windows rather then 2 and use the tabs to open more then 1 pages. Check how much your laptop usage is first.

The usage right now (this is exactly how many windows I have open and the same windows too) is 75% the instant I open Task Manager then goes between 1-3%. And yes it happens randomly, sometimes even when I don't open anything. As soon as I turn myl aptop on, login, nothing opens if I double-click or click on a shortcut or anything.

And GM I am currently following your steps, will post results. Thanks!

Can you not hide anything in your screenshots. Makes it hard to help you.
